Privacy Policy – OcuHub

Effective date: 5 Feb 2026

1) Overview

OcuHub is a clinical productivity app for eye-care professionals. It provides medical reference tools, calculators, and optional documentation features (Case Notes). OcuHub does not diagnose, treat, or predict medical conditions.

2) Data we collect

We may collect:

  • Account data: name and email (and optional specialty).
  • Usage & diagnostics: basic usage events and crash/error logs to improve stability.
  • Device & app info: device model, operating system, app version, push token, and a device identifier used for compatibility, notifications, security, account/device management, and optional multi-device sync.
  • Support data: information you choose to share when contacting support.

We do not collect contacts, SMS/call logs, or precise location.

3) Case Notes & clinical content

By default, Case Notes are stored locally on your device and can use de-identified patient references. Local storage is protected by your device security features.

If you enable sync, your records can be securely synced across your devices. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to your authenticated account.

You control whether you store any patient-identifying information.

4) How we use data

We use data to:

  • provide app features and improve performance,
  • sync your settings/records if you enable sync,
  • respond to support requests,
  • maintain security and prevent abuse,
  • send essential service notices and push notifications when enabled.

5) Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with trusted service providers that help operate the app (e.g., authentication, hosting, analytics, secure storage), only as necessary and under contractual safeguards.

6) Retention & deletion

We retain data until you request deletion, or as needed for security and legal compliance.

Deletion request: Email admin@ocuhub.com with subject "OcuHub Data Deletion Request" from your account email. We will confirm completion within 30 days.

Local device data can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.

7) Healthcare professional responsibility

If you choose to store patient-identifying information, you are responsible for obtaining any required consent and complying with applicable healthcare privacy laws in your jurisdiction. OcuHub provides the technical tools; you control your workflow and data entry.

8) Permissions

OcuHub requests only permissions necessary for features (e.g., camera only when you choose to attach photos). Permission prompts are shown before use.

9) Audience

OcuHub is intended for adult healthcare professionals and is not directed to children.

10) Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. Contact admin@ocuhub.com.

11) Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version and effective date will be posted on ocuhub.com/privacy-policy.
